DO AND DONT TO ALL LAPTOP OWNERS

Many laptop new and long time owners have been doing some right and some wrong with their laptops.
As far as i know a laptop is something that you want to get its maximum rate of work without damaging it.
Now am going to help yoou understand some do's and dont's that any laptop owner should be aware off
                                                           DO:
1)Backup your files to your H: / drive routinely. This is the only storage space that
provides you protection. Our network share drives backups are made every single
night.

2)Unplug your laptop adapter as soon as you notice that the battery is full. This will help to prolong your battery life

3)Remove the battery if you wont use your laptop for a long time. this will prevent it from leaking or damaged

4)Cleaning by polish the dust of the keyboard will help prevent key mis-function
                                                            DON'T:
1)Dont carry the laptop around with the lid open. The hinges are susceptible to damage.

2)Dont use the laptop as a carry-all. We see people all the time loading the keyboard
with paperwork, peripherals and pens and then shutting the lid on top of it and
carrying it a meeting. This will likely damage the keyboard and most probably
will scratch the LCD. The out of warranty LCD is sometimes as expensive as a
new laptop.
3)Dont bring the laptop outside in the sun. To begin with, the hotter electronics get, theslower they become, and the faster they overheat the faster they... melt. Yes they can melt. Same goes for leaving it in car in the sun
4) Dont keep it on while carrying it around; don't even put it in hibernation. If you just
drop it while it's on you can damage your hard-drive and if your files are not
backed up yet, you can lose them for good.

5)Dont poke the LCD screen with a pen or finger. What will happen though is it will
damage the LCD and the display will end up looking like a rainbow.

6) Dont stack stuff on top of a closed laptop. It's not made to support books and paper
work. Just touch the back of the LCD screen and press on it and see how easily it
bends. If the back of the monitor doesn't get damaged, you can get a keyboard
imprint into the screen.

7) Dont bump the CD/DVD drawer. These drawers are so small and delicate; the
slightest hit could break them.

8)Dont leave your laptop un-padlocked on the desk.
